Questions you might have.

What level of Spanish do I need?

You should know some Spanish already, but you do not need to be an advanced reader. An optional placement activity helps find a starting point, and your reading results help Read to Speak adjust the difficulty over time.

It's a perfect companion for anyone taking a Spanish course already.

What do I actually do in Read to Speak?

Read Spanish selected around your ability, check what you understood, review vocabulary with flashcards, and use Lectoru to remember and write short passages from memory. Your dashboard keeps track of your activity, XP, streak, and reading milestones.

How does Lectoru fit into Read to Speak?

Lectoru helps you work more actively with Spanish. Read a short passage, remember it, then write it from memory one sentence at a time.

Members also get access to the complete Lectoru archive, so you can return to earlier passages whenever you want.

How does vocabulary review work?

Study prepared sets of useful Spanish words and phrases with examples and flashcards. Rate how well you remembered each card, and Read to Speak schedules it to return for review. Some readings also include vocabulary notes where extra help is useful.

Is Read to Speak a complete Spanish course?

No. Read to Speak focuses on reading comprehension, vocabulary, and recall. It is designed to help you spend more time working with understandable Spanish, not replace conversation or a complete language course.
